How do you change the EGR Valve on a 1997 Town & Country LXi?

I just bought my van 2 weeks ago and the egr valve is gone. I need to get it replaced and would rather do it myself if i can figure it out. I am a poor single mother, i know it would be better to bring it in but money is tight. Can anyone help me? ThanksHow do you change the EGR Valve on a 1997 Town %26amp; Country LXi?
Unplug it and then unbolt it . It should be on the intake manifold ,probably two or either three bolts in a triangle pattern hold it on. Buy the new one first so you know what it looks like I hope whoever told you it was that knows it's the problemHow do you change the EGR Valve on a 1997 Town %26amp; Country LXi?
Just unplug the hose, and unbolt it, usually 2 bolts. It is mounted on the intake manifold. Get a new one first so you can find the correct part you are changing if you don't already know where it is... You will more than likely need to unbolt it with wrenches as it is kinda mushroom shaped and sometimes the bolts are tight and troublesome to loosen.. Here is a tip if you can't loosen them with a wrench and need to use a socket wrench for more power you will need a universal socket or last resort (and it definately needs to come off) pound the sides in with a hammer and then you can get more room for sockets and extensions. Check the egr port first if it's not clogged before spending money on a new egr valve.
