How to get nox down on smog test!! changed the egr valve and the o2 sens and tuned it up??? got 4000+?

this will not work on ford gas engines or on some gm engines but will work on toyota and some hondas and most german designs except tdi by volkswagon........it assumes u r workin with a gasoline engine and not a diesel----------start engine and let it idle for long enuf to bring it up to normal engine temp.......usually about 30 minutes......get can of either starting fluid (available from most auto stores like auto zone napa etc).....while engine is running at idle speed push release button on either can so as to directly inject the either into the air cleaner intake...note that engine may speed up but this is a normal event and is part of the cleaning process.....doing this should solve the problemHow to get nox down on smog test!! changed the egr valve and the o2 sens and tuned it up??? got 4000+?
high Nox levels are caused by hot conditions in the combustion chamber. this can be caused by high compression due to carbon deposits, a weak ignition system that does not generate enough spark, or bad ignition timing. check your spark first, then have the engine chemically decarbed and have timing tested with a strobe ligth.
