Does anyone out there know where the EGR Valve is on a 2002 Saturn S-Series?

We ran a diagnostic check on my car and it told us it needs a new EGR valve...What aI need to know is where it is located, and how long it will take to change it?? I thank you for your help :o)Does anyone out there know where the EGR Valve is on a 2002 Saturn S-Series?
There is no code that tells you to replace the egr valve. I suspect autozone has pulled your codes using a code reader and has advised you of something along the lines of %26quot;p0401, means you need to replace the valve%26quot;. If you are dead set on repairing it yourself first remove the 2 bolts holding it to the intake manifold and check for carbon buildup. You can clean it with carb cleaner, make sure you move the pintle because that's what gets stuck. Get a new gasket at the autoparts store while your buying the carb cleaner. Without the exact code you pulled I can't really give you much more advice than that.Does anyone out there know where the EGR Valve is on a 2002 Saturn S-Series?
It is located on the intake manifold of the engine. I highly doubt your Exhaust Gas Recycling (EGR) valve needs replacing. They will trigger a check engine light quite often when they simply need to be cleaned out. If you have ever replaced an engine valve of any kind, this repair will take you just as long as that did. I have never done this kind of repair on a Saturn, so I couldn't give you an accurate estimate in terms of hours.
