EGR Valve on a 94' Infiniti Q45?? (please only mechanic's or infiniti specialist answer this)?

A guy told me that my egr valve needed to be cleaned or changed, which was a month ago. Prior to this my check engine light always comes on after at least 20 mins of driving, especially while driving at high speeds. I also noticed how if i slow down or stop at a red light, when i put my foot down on the gas paddle to drive off...the car hesitates to move. It will drive off slowly but eventually pick up speed. I also notice a weird noise but im not sure if it coming from the front or the back of the car. There is also stanky smoke coming from the back of the car. It's not dark or anything...more of a grayish/white color. =/



Anyways, I never got the egr valve changed and now my car is shutting off while i'm driving it. Then i'll have to restart it and then it shuts back off 5 mins later.



So my question is what's wrong with it?? And i need an good estimation of how much will it cost to be fixed. Also what's the best autoshop to have it repaired at in cobb county, Georiga??EGR Valve on a 94%26039; Infiniti Q45?? (please only mechanic%26039;s or infiniti specialist answer this)?
YOU SHOULD GET THE VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED AND CHECK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS CODES AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM TRULY IS.

A bad EGR valve wouldn't give you the symptoms you are experiencing. Find a competent mechanic and have them look and tell you what you need. They can then give you an estimate as to costs. WELL I CANT TELL YOU WHAT SHOP TO GO TO, BUT I CAN LEAD YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION ON WHATS WRONG WITH IT, IF YOU ARE BLOWING WHITE SMOKE, CHECK YOUR OIL, DOES IT LOOK LIKE A CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE, YES? THEN IT IS A HEAD GASKET, NOT MOVE ON, TRY GIVING IT A TUNE UP, REPLACE PLUGS WIRES, CAP ROTAR, FUEL FILTER AND FUEL PUMP, CHANGE YOUR TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER
