what would be the price of one and where is it located at???? is it an easy fix??? ... the engine light on my car went on , i took it to get diagnosed , he said it was code 43, that the egr valve was bad and needed to be replaced.. 210 bucks, seems too expensive.... what if i dont fix it?? will it damage or waste more gas??? thanksHow much and how to change EGR valve on Mitsubishi??
well the price seems about right, i have a 94 camaro and i replaced mine by myself with no garage exp., it could cause a carbon build up in your engine causing loss performance and mine was fairly simple to replace(hopefully yours is too imports tend to compact engine compartments)
1. let engine cool
2. disconnect negative cable from battery
3. disconnect electrical connection to egr valve
4. remove bolts
5. clean with correct spray (ask any employee at auto zone or advance auto discount)
6. reinstall with reverse order
quite easy, also pick up a repair manuel for your vehicle, saves u alot of money on easy repairs with step by step directions and photos
